Amy Lockwood, DVM

|
Dr. Amy Lockwood graduated from UC Davis in 1997 and since that time has been practicing traditional small animal medicine. While always acutely aware of the importance of the human-animal connection, in the last five years, Dr. Lockwood has been studying this bond and ways to bring about greater healing in a more active way. In 2008, she graduated from Matrix Light Institute's Energy Healing Training Program, a 3 year program focusing on the fundamentals of energy work and creating a deeper connection with self and others. Dr. Lockwood completed the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) 2008-2009 Acupuncture course and has been implementing this ancient healing modality into her current practice with great success. Also in 2008-2009, she completed the year-long Systemic Family Constellation facilitator training workshop in San Diego. Knowing that animals are naturally a part of the family system, this work provides a way to look deeper, at the root of illness/behavioral change and provide a path for healing that surpasses the more traditional western path of treating only symptoms. Dr. Lockwood is committed to her own spiritual and educational advancement, and is very excited to bring new modalities of healing in to complement her years of more traditional veterinary practice. Future areas of study include homeopathy, herbal, and possibly chiropractic medicine.

What is Ondamed?
Ondamed is a battery-powered biofeedback certified Class II Medical Therapy Device that a medical practitioner uses to determine which frequencies of sound, as well as the accompanying weak pulsed electromagnetic fields, cause a response in a patient’s autonomic nervous system. Practitioners use the non-invasive ONDAMED technology and the biofeedback loop to scan the body for underlying dysfunctions, such as inflammation, infection, scar tissue, and emotional trauma residing on a cellular level. These areas often prove to be the source of dis-ease & symptoms that might be otherwise difficult to find.
Identified areas are treated with Ondamed's specific pulsed electro-magnetic field frequencies to stimulate tissue and the nervous system. Temporary stimulus by these frequencies (combined with the patient’s cognitive and non-cognitive participation) promote relaxation, muscle re-education, and various other prescription uses.
Ondamed is used successfully to effectively reduce pain & provide arthritis relief, assist in smoking cessation, enhance the release of toxins leading to improved detoxification, stimulate cellular repair and regeneration, balance the metabolism, increase vitality, increase circulation, improve lymphatic flow and drainage- thus improving the immune function, reduce inflammation and swelling, reduce cortisol levels, and provide stress relief.
Patients and practitioners using Ondamed frequencies have reported benefits on all levels of well-being: physical, emotional, and mental.
